The first Louisville Juneteenth Festival was organized during the civil unrest of 2020 by a group of young leaders, activists, and organizers. Considered the celebration and glimmer of hope for the summer, many Black businesses, organizations, families, and friends gathered to honor the legacy, history, and continuation of Black Culture in America.
